Our safety representative training is a 2 day course which will help participants to promote and maintain health and safety in the workplace. The training outlines the roles and functions of a Safety Representative.

This course is ideal for staff who wish to take on the role of safety representative and represent fellow workers, and attend safety committee meetings.
Classroom based course: Local training room or onsite.
Course Duration: 2 Days.

Course content includes:
- Health and safety legislation
- Role of the safety representative and safety committee members in safety consultation.
- Communication skills for the safety representative and safety committee.
- Hazard identification and carrying out risk assessments.
- Interpreting and implementing the safety statement.
- Carrying out safety inspections
- Sources of health and safety information
- Risk control and health and safety management at workstations
Course Objectives
On successful completion of the course the trainees will be able to:
- Understand the concept of workplace health and safety.
- Be familiar with core legislation in the area of safety, health and welfare at work.
- Understand and gain basic competence in hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Recognise the factors influencing workplace health, safety and welfare.
