Paediatric First Aid
This course sets out to train participants on life saving skills in relation to children, generally up to the age of 13.
This training programme is designed for anyone who has no previous experience of first aid for children, and provides the skills required to deal with paediatric injuries or medical emergencies before professional help arrives.
Classroom Setting | Maximum 10 Participants
Course Duration – 1 Day

Course Content
Learners will gain an insight into the following topics:
- Asthma
- Allergies/Allergic reactions
- Infant and child choking
- Infant and child CPR
- High temperature
- Bleeding and wounds
- Broken bones and fractures
- Poisoning
- Bites and stings
- Seizures

Who Should Attend This Paediatric First Aid Training Course:
Paediatric First Aid Training Course is designed for parents, registered child minders and caregivers along with school teachers – including staff involved in créche, nursery and Montessori facilities as well as those involved in junior and primary education.

Paediatric First Aid Training Course Certification
A Paediatric First Aid ‘Training Course’ Certificate will be awarded to participants once they have successfully completed the course
Refresher Training & Certification Validity Period
Refresher training is recommended at intervals not greater than 2 years
